Hi Yelpers! My friend's father is a fairly well known artist from Bulgaria and is currently here in the good 'ol USA for an exhibit in Washington. I've been asked to help and see if I could get him a show or some other sort of gallery exposure here in San Francisco. Any ideas?

It depends on timing, a lot of galleries here try and figure out their shows months in advance. Also, depending on the type of art and where he's shown before, different galleries make sense.

A friend of mine Catherine Haley, also owns a private gallery in SOMA, She is awesome and quite well connected in the art world and she tends to be alot more flexible re show timings..
